"The Ancestral
Suite"

A
bright, two-room suite looking over the side and front garden, "The
Ancestral Suite" has an antique iron bed in the boudoir and a
luxurious day bed piled with pillows on the sun porch. Other
furnishings include a rare Irish step-back cupboard (with plenty of
books), and a Victorian dresser. Two magnificent oil paintings and
memorabilia from the turn of the century enhance the period warmth of the
room. The bath is sunny and spacious, with a footed tub. |

"The Marcus
Suite"

This upstairs
suite is a favorite with guests who anticipate a long stay. It has a
big bed/sitting room, a kitchen, and a washer dryer. These
utilitarian appointments are almost overshadowed, however, by the warmth
and spaciousness of the suite, with its welcoming bed, bookcases flanking
the fireplace, comfortable chairs, and treetops just outside the
windows. Two paintings are featured, one landscape in oils and a
magnificent watercolor reminiscent of Georgia O'Keefe. The small
bath has a stand-up shower. |
